The art in both our houses — Casa Atlixco in La Condesa and Casa Mérida in Roma Norte — is not hotel art. Every piece is an original by an artist living and working in Mexico City, hung on consignment, and available to take home. Live with it for four nights first. That is a better way to buy a painting than a gallery visit.
See the collectionFurnishing a house in Condesa means a decision about the walls. The easy answer is prints from a catalogue, the same three botanical studies that hang in every rental in the neighbourhood.
We went the other way. We give the walls to artists who need people to see their work, and our guests get to live with something that exists exactly once. If you fall for a piece over breakfast on the second morning, you can buy it, and most of what you pay goes straight to the person who made it.
The collection rotates roughly every six months, so a return stay is a different show. Artists can apply here.
The collection
Across Casa Atlixco in La Condesa and Casa Mérida in Roma Norte. Prices are in US dollars and include packing and domestic shipping.
We are selecting our founding artists now. The first works go up in the houses this season, and this page will fill with them.
If you make work in Mexico City and want it on these walls, the open call is here — the first ten artists accepted keep 80% of every sale, permanently.

For guests
Every work has a small card beside it with a QR code. It opens the piece's page with the artist, the medium and the price.
Or tell your host and our concierge will handle it. No haggling, no gallery theatre, no one hovering.
Packing and domestic shipping are included. International delivery is quoted at cost before you pay.
Most of what you spend goes directly to the person who made it, within ten business days.
The piece stays on the wall until the end of your stay unless you ask us to ship it sooner. Nobody wants a bare hook for their last two mornings.
The artists
Painters, photographers, printmakers, weavers and ceramicists working in Mexico City. Some are represented, most are not. Each one keeps the majority of every sale and sets their own prices.
Artist pages go here as the collection fills — one per artist, with a bio, their available work and where to find them.

Two villas, six and seven bedrooms, in La Condesa and Roma Norte. Book direct and the rate is better than the platforms.
