One table, one kitchen, everyone home on Christmas morning
Christmas in a hotel means six rooms on three floors, a restaurant that closes at ten, and a group text to find out where everyone is.
A house works differently. One kitchen, so coffee at seven and lunch at noon happen without a plan. One table, so Nochebuena dinner is at home, with nobody watching the clock. And on Christmas morning everyone is already there, in the same living room.
The whole of Casa Atlixco is yours. No other guests, no lobby, no checkout line on the 26th.

The garden house, set for the holidays
Six bedrooms and seven beds for up to 14 people. A dining area with french doors onto a private courtyard, which in December is where breakfast happens and where the kids end up. A living room with a meditation corner, a jacuzzi in the main suite, and fast Wi-Fi with a dedicated workspace for whoever has to log on between Christmas and New Year.
Parque México is an eight-minute walk. Condesa slows down over the holidays, and the park is at its quietest.
The season here
What December is like in Mexico City
Days are sunny and mild, in the low twenties. Nights drop to single digits, so bring a coat. It is the dry season, so rain is rare.
From 16 December the Posadas begin: nine nights of neighborhood processions, piñatas and ponche, the hot fruit punch made with tejocote, guava and cinnamon. Nochebuena, the 24th, is the big dinner, eaten late. Christmas Day itself is slow. The Zócalo is lit for the season. New Year's Eve is a dinner at home for most families here, with twelve grapes at midnight.
The season does not end on 1 January. Día de Reyes on 6 January brings the rosca de reyes, a ring of sweet bread with a tiny figurine baked inside. Whoever finds it buys the tamales on 2 February.

Casa Atlixco is open from 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. These are the weeks people ask about first.
Casa Mérida, our rooftop house in Roma Norte, is already booked from 27 December to 3 January. For the holidays, this is the one house we have left.

Booking direct means you deal with us, not a platform, and there is no platform fee. Live prices and the calendar are on the Casa Atlixco page. If you have questions first, or you are more than 14, send your dates through the contact form.
Half when you book, the balance seven days before arrival. It is easier to collect from the group in two steps.

You talk to the people who run the house
No platform commission, so the price you see is the price of the house. Tell us the week and we hold it for 48 hours with no deposit while your group agrees. Pay in USD or MXN, with a proper invoice.

What holiday groups ask us
Is there a minimum stay over Christmas and New Year?+
The booking calendar shows the minimum for any dates you pick. Over the holidays most groups take a full week, either Christmas week or the run into New Year. If you want to check before you look, send us your dates.
What time is check-in and checkout?+
Check-in is from 4 pm and checkout is at 11 am. If flights land at odd hours, tell us in advance and we will do what the calendar allows.
Can we bring the kids?+
Yes. Children are welcome, and the courtyard is where they end up. Tell us ages when you book so we can set the rooms up right.
We are more than 14. Can you take us?+
For Christmas and New Year, Casa Atlixco is the one house we have open, so 14 is the limit. For 15 or more at other times of year, both houses together sleep 30. See how the two houses work for large groups.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Full refund up to 30 days before arrival, 50% up to 7 days before, and no refund after that. A refundable security hold is placed before you arrive and released after you leave.
Can we drink the tap water?+
Yes. The tap water in the house is filtered, so nobody has to carry garrafones up the stairs over the holidays.
